Education Matters
Parent Villages proudly presents the Education Matters Brunch, a signature event that uplifts parents, youth, and community leaders by centering voices often overlooked in educational conversations
Each year, we honor champions of learning, recognize unsung heroes, and directly invest in students through scholarships. Since its inception, the Brunch has awarded over $60,000 in scholarships, celebrated more than 40 unsung heroes and seven lifetime champions, and raised $150,000+ to sustain programs that strengthen families and prepare the next generation for success.
This event is more than a brunch—it’s a celebration of resilience, advocacy, and the belief that every voice matters in shaping education’s future. Extending this mission, the Family Matters Summit and PV Conference bring parents, educators, and advocates together for powerful conversations that strengthen homes, schools, and communities. These gatherings foster collaboration, spark connection, and create solutions that help families thrive.
The Family Matters Summit and PV Conference further expand this vision by bringing together parents, educators, and advocates for powerful conversations on strengthening homes, schools, and communities. These gatherings create space for collaboration, connection, and practical solutions, ensuring that families feel supported and prepared to thrive.

Parent Villages CARES
Through Parent Villages CARES, we provide compassionate support services that meet both immediate and long-term needs of families facing trauma, hardship, or inequities.
Rooted in the belief that no family should face crisis alone, CARES offers emergency assistance, wraparound support, and meaningful community connections. By meeting families where they are and walking alongside them, we help restore hope, dignity, and resilience—creating pathways toward lasting stability and healing.
Community Engagement
Parent Advocacy Fellowship
The Parent Advocacy Fellowship empowers parents and caregivers to embrace their role as leaders at home while equipping them with skills to influence schools, communities, and systems.
Fellows begin by building emotional intelligence, strengthening family relationships, and finding their voice within their households. They are then equipped with advocacy and leadership tools that expand their impact far beyond home. This two-generational approach ensures parents feel confident guiding their children while driving change in the institutions that shape their futures—creating ripples of systemic impact that last.

Support Services
Our Support Services program connects families to the resources and guidance needed to break down barriers and build long-term stability.
Through personalized advocacy and culturally responsive care, families gain the tools to navigate challenges and move toward their fullest potential. From essential resources and referrals to encouragement during tough times, Support Services provides individualized support that honors each family’s journey. By strengthening stability at home, we empower parents and caregivers to build strong foundations for generations to come.
Ongoing Programming
Community-based Partnerships
These partnerships allow us to establish resource sharing networks, ensure opportunities reach intended audiences, and increase visibility for Parent Villages and partnering organizations.

Mentoring Programs
Mentors accelerate the learning and career growth of mentees simply by investing time and insight (Forbes Oct. 2, 2018). COVID forced us to re-examine our mentor programs - stay tuned for our refined Parent-to-Parent mentor program and the re-institution of our Peer-to-Peer mentoring programs.

Family Engagement
The Family Engagement program creates opportunities for parents, children, and communities to connect, learn, and grow together.
Through events such as school’s-out celebrations, holiday gatherings, skate parties, giveaways, and interactive workshops, families build trust, joy, and shared experiences. These activities not only create moments of fun but also foster lasting relationships that strengthen homes and communities, ensuring every family feels seen, supported, and connected.

Healing Circles
Healing Circles offer safe, trusted spaces for adults to reflect, share, and heal.
These circles nurture whole-person wellness by encouraging honest dialogue, mutual support, and authentic connection. Participants bring their true selves, engage in meaningful conversations, and draw strength from shared experiences. Through this process, isolation transforms into belonging, and challenges into resilience—empowering adults to heal individually while thriving together as a community.
Youth Empowerment Programs
Parent Villages invests in the next generation through programs that inspire leadership, confidence, and resilience.
- Teen Village Builders (TVB) Brunches: Celebrations where youth connect, uplift one another, and build community.
- TVB Bootcamps: Teamwork and leadership development during school breaks.
- Summer Nights: Evening programs that spark creativity, collaboration, and fun.
- Youth Villages Leadership Program (YVLP, ages 16–22): A mentorship initiative teaching financial literacy, goal-setting, conflict resolution, and civic responsibility.

Realistic Lemonade Tour
The Realistic Lemonade Tour, in partnership with Realistic Lemonade Inc. and StandOut Marketing, empowers young entrepreneurs and their families.
This initiative gives youth real-world opportunities to showcase talents, explore entrepreneurship, and gain confidence—while parents witness and support their children’s dreams firsthand. By nurturing growth across generations, the Realistic Lemonade Tour plants seeds of creativity, generational wealth, and community legacy, building foundations for long-term success.
Community Events & Networking
Parent Villages also creates opportunities for families and neighbors to come together through Community Events and Networking.
From resource fairs and seasonal celebrations to skate parties and giveaways, these gatherings provide welcoming, judgment-free spaces for families to connect, relax, and enjoy themselves without financial or social barriers. By offering accessible experiences for all, we strengthen our collective village and ensure every family feels valued, supported, and part of something greater.

#SHOWUP Initiative
Parent Villages started the #SHOWUP Initiative to empower adults to show up for their children and youth in their community whether they express that they need it or not. The #SHOWUP Initiative encourages parents to be proactive about their child’s education by showing up at the school for the good, the bad, and everything in between.
